St. Mary the Virgin, Wivenhoe
Everyone is very welcome to our friendly and relaxed meetings, where we think about the Bible and its relevance for us today, as well as having a chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
People who come to the meeting have a range of viewpoints and find that the discussions are very helpful in encouraging their faith and understanding of the Christian message.
Each evening is organised around a Bible reading that we talk about informally. Recent themes that we have looked at are 'Knowing God' and 'Social Justice'. We have also looked at the lives of different individuals in the Bible to see what we can learn from their lives and faith.
We meet twice a month on Tuesday evening at 8 pm. For further details contact Glyn Stanway.
Another Bible Study Group, led by Margaret Barker, runs on alternate Wednesday mornings.
